My Insight™ Assessment

Not sure what to do with your life? Need some career direction? Xyte has developed these tools-for-a-lifetime to assist teens, young adults, and interested parents, to evaluate and align your innate strengths with future education and jobs/careers.

Not knowing what kind of job or career you want is a common problem. Spend 12-15 minutes to take the My Insight™ assessment to give you a better idea of your attitudes and strengths as they relate to possible career choices.

Making the right choices early will provide you with a more fulfilled and satisfying work life. Those who do not understand themselves constantly have to adapt to unsavory work, costing more money and agony. Xyte’s assessment will help you envision and plan your work future.

Developed by educator Linda McIsaac, Ph.D. especially for high school students, the My Insight assessment measures your innate thinking process, provides you with understanding of your competency, talent, and physiological preference; and then aligns these factors with education and jobs that match your skills and interests. Once you know your assessment results and receive your Cognofile Report, review the O*NET job/career files specifically for your Cognofile to give you a lot of job/career ideas.

You need to know your innate strengths!

  • Competency is what you cognitively enjoy doing every day, all day long and never tire of doing. You really need to know this because your future world will revolve around how you best use your competency for the rest of your life.
  • Talent is what you cognitively (that is, knowing what you) enjoy doing once in a while that makes your competency better
  • Physiological preference is your physical output. Even though you can do body, hand, word, or mind type of work, one type is actually what you prefer over the others.
